These projects include blue print reading, estimating job costs, fabricating and scheduling delivery of materials. Gross sales of $774,000.00 in 2009 was a 42% increase over 2008. This increase was accomplished by:

• Improved quality and deliverables for customers from two weeks down to one week.

• Hired certified structural welders for performing on-site and off-site welding and installation of fabricated materials.

• Implemented CAD into drawings for shop fabrication.

• Restructured the accounts receivable and accounts payable departments and improved payments from 90 days down to 30days.

• Key team member of Technology Realization and Commercialization (TRAC) for taking stent and catheter technology from R&D, through manufacturing and into the commercial market.

• Led and coordinated a cross-functional team of engineers to Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) division in Minnesota that developed solutions for laser weld and resistance weld problems with the defibrillator, capacitor, and battery programs. Developed validation and verification procedures for these new solutions and improved overall yields by more than 90%.

• Led and coordinated key contacts at the Freunhoffer Institute in Germany on the production and development of polymer material for bio-absorbable stent program.

St. Jude Medical, Sylmar, CA. 1990 – 1998

Manager, Product Engineering

Managed 8 engineers and 5 technicians in the Manufacturing Engineering Department who supported the production department with validation, verification and assembly procedures for Bradycardia and Tachycardia pulse generator and lead programs. Attended MRB meetings and disposition discrepant product. Interfaced with vendors who supplied titanium and platinum material used in the manufacture of Bradycardia and Tachycardia products. Received five patents that improved manufacturability, eliminated processes, improved reliability and cost saving procedures with regard to Bradycardia and Tachycardia pulse generators and leads which ultimately saved $2 million per year in labor and re-work. Other job duties included:

• Managed the development and career planning of the engineers and engineering technicians.

• Responsible for all Laser and resistance weld development and training.

• Responsible for the development, training and operation of Orthodyne large wire bonder production programs.

• Project leader for the transfer of the Ventritex ICD models from Santa Clara, CA, to Sylmar, CA, manufacturing site.
