2012 CARPENTER – STEELS. Process Engineer (Metallurgy)

Carpenter is a leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of cast/wrought and powder metal stainless steels and specialty alloys including high temperature (iron-nickel-cobalt base), stainless, superior corrosion resistant, controlled expansion alloys, ultra high-strength and implantable alloys, tool and die steels, and other specialty metals as well as cast/wrought titanium alloys.

• Directly responsible to meet the demand and specifications of our client GE-TOSHIBA (GTTC). Production planner and coordinator, monitoring processes and implementing control charts (average and ranges) to meet, control and compare the corrective actions for the process variation, meeting sales targets and company standards of quality specified. Material Handling (correct identification and status), inventory control, entry and exit of materials. Follow-up claims by and applying analysis tools for non-occurrence, achieving a system of continuous improvement in the process. Management and coordination of personnel. Active participation to obtain certification in Standard AS 9120. Productivity and efficiency rises by 20%, performing balancing lines, developing suppliers and standardizing cutting parameters.

2009 KIEKERT DE MEXICO Quality Engineer (Automotive)

Company dedicated to the assembly of door latches for the automotive industry, major customers Ford, Chrysler, General Motors and Volkswagen. Monthly production of about 1 million door latches per month.

• Q1 recognition achieved 7 Ford assembly plants where latches are sent. First time that the company gets 0 PPM in Ford history (5 consecutive months). Responsible for implementing the analysis area of rejected pieces in the process. Implementation of Ford IPM (In-Process Metrics) for monitoring of metrics such as process capability, planning review of documentation APQP (PC and FMEA-P), coordination of engineering changes and follow up on problem solving (8D's) Deployment Ford "Paynter Chart" at the plant level for evaluation of defects and scrap reduction through the generation of corrective actions focused on the implementation of error-proof devices to prevent recurrence.
