Experience Details

* Windows Server 2003 – Server administration; which includes trouble shooting issues, patching and installing applications that run on the Server 2003 environment. Maintain services which run on server. Create and maintain file shares using active directory global security group permissions.

* Windows Server 2000 Cluster – Server administration; which includes trouble shooting issues, patching and installing applications that run on the Server 2000 cluster environment. Maintain services which run on server. Create and maintain file shares using active directory global security group permissions. Cluster also contains SQL, File & Print Shares. Support of Image document writer app, Application Extender, running on cluster. Performed build of a second server 2000 cluster system, which supported shop floor apps collecting info from shop. These apps recorded info scanned by workers and results of diesel engine code programming which was stored in IBM DB2 system running on this server. Support of these shop floor apps required occasional searches and verification of data written to DB2 system using MS Access connected to DB2 system. Results were used for dealer warranty and field support.

* Current Involvement with IBM teams on installation of new servers with Server 2008 cluster and new SAN which includes new SAN switches.

* SAN – Maintain and support network storage connected to all servers on site.

* Systems Backup – Administrative experience with Backup Exec and Tivoli performing backups and restores. Vault movement of onsite tapes from library to offsite storage.

* Network – Worked closely with corporate network team on vlan upgrade which included replacement / installation of over 15 switches. Installation of over 20 wireless access points was part of this large project. All network equipment connected via copper over fiber backbone. Maintain connections to these switches utilizing Reflections and assigning vlan / descriptions as end user devices were moved around the facilities. Network consisted of a core center for server room with ten different buildings connected via fiber.

* Intermec Wireless Access Points – Support of these access points which were used with wireless Intermec scanners that collected shop floor data. Configure Intermec scanners and support application which collected the shop floor data. Instruction and training of shop floor personnel on these scanners.

* LXE VX5 wireless lift mount devices – Support of lift mount devices which ran Business ERP for material movement from warehouses to shop floor drop zones. Embedded Windows XP.

* Avaya Defintiy Release 1.5.04 & Audix Phone System – Maintain internal system, performed configuration of subscribers and update as personnel changes required. Performed backups for restore point. Major changes to personnel moves maintained via export of data, and then modifications utilizing spreadsheet were imported back into phone switch.

* Cellular Devices – Support and configure cell phones connectivity to corporate Blackberry Exchange Server. Worked with carriers in ordering new devices and replacements.

* Printers / Plotters / Multifunctional Devices – Create print queues, troubleshoot all printing issues related to windows environment. Worked closely with UNIX administrators in establishing printer queues for business ERP systems which included Intermec thermal transfer label printers.

* Performed study of printing usage which reduced associated cost by utilizing lease agreement of multifunctional devices. Have worked with both Ricoh / Lanier & Konica Minolta leases.

* CNC Shop Floor Software – Installation and configuration of software utilized for code translation of geometry used for production piece parts. SmartCam, SigmaNest, ProCam, & NC Express were the software packages used.
