Originally hired as Accounting Assistant and later promoted to position of Franchise Relations Manager. Duties included overseeing communication between upper management, clients and franchise owners, handling insurance and supply/equipment ordering and price negotiation. When I began, this franchise operation had eight branch offices and that number increased to twenty five during my term of employment. I managed calls from clients and franchise owners and negotiated to resolve reports of dissatisfaction. Also corresponded with legal firms when necessary and compiled documents for the company attorneys when a concern escalated to a legal issue.
Responsible for procurement and management of corporate insurance including general liability, property, commercial automobile, workers compensation and health insurance policies, including reporting, tracking and follow-up of claims, maintaining OSHA logs, corresponding with insurance adjusters and insurance company attorneys to help them procure necessary information for resolving claims that escalated to a court level.
Monitoring of monthly spreadsheets for annual revenue projections to use for insurance renewals each year. Processed and supervised background screenings on franchise applicants and employees for all branches using five different screening companies. Corresponded with county officials, as needed, to verify uncertain criminal charges.

Full charge bookkeeper for independent insurance agency. Duties included payroll, quarterly tax reports, employee 401K deposits, account receivables, accounts payable for four office locations. I used an AFW insurance software program to utilize process and maintain this information. PRIOR EMPLOYMENT
Prior to 1992 my employment was in California where I worked for two independent insurance agencies, KIA Insurance Associates and The Faulkner Agency in Taft, California. My duties involved providing customer service, policy maintenance and supply ordering. l also assisted the finance manager with the direct bill reconciliation, account current and data entry on an AGENA based systems. I helped set up the network and troubleshoot workstation error messages.
