COVER LETTER
Search Committee:
I am very interested to learn more about your opening in ministry. My wife, Nita, and I are currently full-time church staff in Salt Lake City. Before Utah, we served as Korean-based missionaries, teaching students from over 30 countries for more than 10 years. During that time, we also pastored international and military expat congregations. Our mission work included short-term ministries in Africa, China, Japan, and the Philippines. Our young sons were raised on the mission field. Our youngest is attending Bible college in hopes to become a military chaplain. His brother is already in the Army. Obviously, the years of missionary and military ministry have impacted our sons’ life choices.
In 2011 Nita and I moved to Utah to help another pastor to plant a new church. Here, we have seen God’s provision and blessing in this new effort. We are privileged to have been a part of all the outreach events, park services, street evangelism, home visitations, and community service ministries. The year was transitional for us, from Asian to Western culture and from missions work to domestic pastoring. Today, we are slightly more Westernized and hopefully better prepared for the next long-term ministry. The church in Utah is positioned for future growth, and our work here is concluding. Now, we are seeking God’s next challenging assignment.
Please consider our heart to serve and make a difference, as you assess our experience and qualifications for the ministry you are resourcing.
Grateful for Grace,
Kurtes Quesinberry
