Writing and Teaching
Published stories, articles and photography; taught writing from elementary- through -high school, and at university level. Many years ‘ teaching various cultures and ethnicities world-wide. Fluent in French. Have instigated and acted in Community theatre, coached speech contests in China, & directed library systems in East Mississippi. Happy, flexible, capable, dependable and versatile happiest tackling the challenges presented in teaching How To Write!

Instructed students on the use of University Data Bases, made presentations to all new classes, and managed/ran the new library, the Career Services and the Testing facility. We opened the new campus April 5, 2009; I have been seminal in making that happen successfully in New Orleans. (Strayer is a for profit, corporation. I left when Delgado called.

Teacher Guangzhou Nanyang International School, Guangzhou. (Jan-June) 2000.
Taught basic (writing and speaking) English; class size varied from private to 50 students per class. Worked each night for a month with the faculty, teaching English Christmas carols for a Springtime (Major) Gala Show for parents and Patrons. Worked intensively/one-on-one with a few students in preparation for their college admittance exams. Made up games and contests to keep middle school children interested in Verbs, parts of speech, pronoun use, etc. Coached a 16 yr old girl for competition in statewide speech contest; she won. Spoke before school assemblies and did a spot for the school on television.
Instructor/Consultant. Can Achieve, Guangzhou, PRC Summer 2000. I lead a weekly class discussion to prepare wealthy executives for Canadian Immigration. I also worked one-on-one teaching Writing in English and pronunciation. The owners asked me to also work privately with them to perfect their English writing skills.

Instructor, Rhetoric and Composition Ventura Community College, Ventura, California. 1995-1996. I wrote the curriculum, and syllabus for the Writing Course. I taught brand new students how to write, with a 98% retention rate (It was the college basketball team!)
