Employed as a private contractor to children ages 5-22 providing in-home music therapy focusing on social, communication, emotional, and physical goal areas. Populations included developmental and behavior disorders. Completed state and agency related paperwork reporting clients’ progress and deficits concerning developmental milestones.
August 2007-April 2009 CHILDREN’S MERCY HOSPITAL KANSAS CITY, MO
Employed to provide music therapy services to patients, 0-18 years of age, on several inpatient floors. Served patients with heart and liver related illnesses, general pediatrics, and Cystic Fibrosis. Also provided music therapy services in the outpatient Dialysis unit. Collaborated with patients’, their families, health care teams and other clinicians/therapists.
September 2006-July 2007 QUEENS CENTERS FOR PROGRESS BELLEROSE, NY
Intern at a Day treatment facility for adults (ages 18-65) with Developmental Disabilities. Group and individual sessions done under minimal supervision. Addressed goals and objectives that were intended to progress the clients in their involvement in the community and in their interactions with peers.
