• Assist Engineering Division Procurement Engineer in purchasing material requirements (i.e. gathering of quotes, conduct of pre bid, negotiating for the lowest bid, uploading new suppliers) in port development/improvement.
• Maintain interface with vendors to ensure the procurement of high quality merchandise, expedient delivery, and dependable service at optimum price.

• Maintain and ensure to always have an alternative supplier for every items being purchase.
• Enters purchase orders in computer system; follows-up purchase orders to ensure receipt of proper quality and quantity on specified dates.
• Contacts vendors for prices, product information, and for pre-bid schedules.
• Prepare purchase order after approval of Dept. Manager and send the approved purchase order to the respective suppliers.
• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of materials/supplies of all types in accordance with established supply systems and procedures.
• Move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment. Have a good knowledge of warehousing and stock control.
• In the exigency of service, as directed by senior management, I perform additional job function at the cargo control and container port terminal to examine and check for completeness, accuracy & conformance to requirements all import/export tally sheets with attachments and shipping documents such as bill of ladings, airway bills, commercial invoice/packing list, country of origin, breakdown list, alert order, seizure order, & custom clearances prior to approval of Seaport General Manager.
