I am a military trained, component level, electronic repairman until recently working in the leak detection industry as a Service Engineer / Technician. Due to recent economic downturns in the automotive industry I was laid off. Previously I had worked twenty years for Ford Motor Company as an Instrument Repair Technician.
In my recent position I complete in-house and on site troubleshooting and repair of leak detection systems including pressure/vacuum decay and flow and mass spectrometers and provide customer support over the phone.
I have completed a four year apprenticeship program recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor and hold a journeyman's card as an instrument repairman.
My responsibilities have been the troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of various electronic process controls on production equipment, in QC testing laboratories, durability testing laboratories, powerhouse and waste treatment plants. Temperature, pressure, vacuum, flow, ph, turbidity as well as dimensional gauging and weight are a few of the variables of which I have experience. Maintaining leak detection systems and laboratory test stands have been my primary responsibility.
I have completed an Allen-Bradley training course provided by Ford and recently completed a Programmable Logic Controller course offered by Ivy Tech Community College.
