Profile Summary:

I am a Certified Senior Behavior Technician working with Autistic Children’s for the last 6.5 years. I am basically a software professional having taken a career in Customer Support & Logistics. My dream for children’s started when I was a Youth actively involved in Summer Camps, Vacation Bible Schools & Counseling. I have done lots of write-ups and used my artistic skills for various summer camps for children’s. I have directly supervised and also been the Director for various summer camps. I was working with RIA Institute for special needs, Bahrain as a volunteer for more than a year, there after in the year December 2004 I was recruited by Alia for Early Intervention, Bahrain, since then I am working as a Team Leader for two shifts that include 13 children’s and 15 Teachers.

- International Conference on Behavioral & Communication Difficulties,

Bahrain in the year 2006.

- Three day workshop on Autism at Royal College of Women (2008)

- One week workshop on Rapid Prompting Method at Alia School (2010)

Professional Experience

Alia for Early Intervention, Bahrain

December 2004 onwards: Working as Team Leader in Bahrain society for Behavioral & Communication Difficulties (Alia for Early Intervention), Kingdom of Bahrain. The center is under the supervision of Applied Behavior Consultants Inc, Sacramento, USA. The program is based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Job Profile:

- Assessment of the child.

- Preparing Individual Education Plan (IEP)

- Setting up of required stations. There are 6 stations at Alia. Academic, Listening, Non Vocal Imitation, Speaker, Vocal Imitation, Play.

- Setting up of required materials both 3D material & 2D material according to IEP.

- Assisting Teacher/Technicians in data collection and monitoring their overall performance.

- Handling children’s behavior, data collection and scanning of behavior.

- Preparing behavior plan for a target behavior on which data is collected for a period of 3 weeks.

- Prepared Teacch material for children’s.

- Monitoring data on Routines & Lesson data.

- Reviewing & Evaluation of the technicians.

- To make sure that the data files are in order for on going lessons, daily & monthly behavioral data, task analysis forms and any other material pertaining to the group.

- Worked with specialized teacher for inclusion, mainstreaming 4 children’s.

- Preparing Bi – Monthly & Annual reports.

- Teaching sign language (ASL) to non – vocal kids & Technicians.

- Assisting parents to provide hands on with their children’s.
