SKILLS
• Programming: C++
• Software: Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and PSPICE (electronic simulation tool)
• System: Personal Computer and Workstation (UNIX)
EXPERIENCE
Xerox, Inc., Oregon 2001 to 2012
Quality Assurance - Engineering Support Test Technician, Wilsonville (2007 to 2012)
• Lead for output quality measurements in solid ink development team. Knowledge of all measurement tools, machines and systems such as: IQAF scanner, robot machine, spectrophotometer, micro-TRI-gloss meter, BYK haze meter, fold, and kink machines.
• Process continuous improvement - increase measurement / scanning process speed. Recommended scan on different media sizes and images in the new robot machine. Suggested new barcodes be created for printer ID, date, and resolutions. With the barcodes, the scan data automatically uploads into the database instead of typing the printer ID and date from the CSV files.
• Organized workload for the team and supported the measurements whenever necessary. Ensured the scanned and measurement data were filed or uploaded into SQL database.
• Prioritized and scheduled the equipment and technicians and ensured all useful data delivery was accomplished before its deadline. Developed a way to keep everything organized and tracked all measurements to completion; met all schedules.
• Trained new technicians, staff and enforced standard operating procedures.
• Assisted material support team with inventory / management in stockroom.
Quality Assurance – Print Quality Specialist, Wilsonville (2001 to 2006)
• Experience and expertise to spot print quality (PQ) problem areas; PQ specialist.
• Evaluated print/copy/fax quality test prints in different products.
• Performed PQ occurrence logs daily corrections, PQ measurements and charts, and print quality evaluations.
• Created new testing templates to run prints for PQ defect evaluation.
• Created procedures to assist the test technicians with identifying and logging PQ artifacts.
• Captured errors encountered with program thus resulting in more accurate copy quality and image quality evaluations.
• Developed a way to keep track of defects and ensured any follow up work was completed.
• Documented job flows so that other employees with similar responsibilities could be trained on different products.
• Trained PQ engineers from Flextronix (Singapore) on image quality process. Supported test and design engineers.
Tektronix, Inc., Oregon 1980 to 2000
Quality Assurance - Test Technician, Wilsonville (9/13/99 to 2000)
• Worked in RDT (Reliability Demo Test) lab as test technician.
• Performed laboratory tests in support / treatment.
• Utilized TekSmart in Tekweb to trouble shoot and make service calls.
• Tracked and submitted defects (bugs) in Defect Tracking System and performed bug fix verification.
• Print quality evaluator and trainer.
• Trained engineers, supervisors and technicians in Penang (Malaysia) on print quality.
• Worked in QA organization as a test technician for seven months in Product Verification lab. Utilized a Graphical User Interface for collecting and managing data.
• Tool skills included maintaining product lists, test template generation, documenting software and hardware upgrades, and setup. Used tool to correct product performance metrics.
• Tracked and submitted defects (bugs) in Defect Tracking System and performed bug fix verification.
• Performed environmental “corner” tests to measure product performance at temperature and humidity.
Phaser 840 - Production Tester III, Wilsonville (10/26/94 to 9/13/99)
• Executed statistical process control (SPC). Performed engineering tests, researched defects, created charts and charted analysis.
• Provided feedback to engineering and helped with experiments. Used Infomaker to update daily reports.
• Utilized test menu to run diagnostic on PC or laptop to calibrate preheaters, and drum probes.
• Created diagnostic charts. Performed head to drum distance calibration.
• Ran print test suite on PC and Macintosh. Performed visual inspections on print quality.
• Recorded defects and tracked units in the data quality system.
• Repaired printers (replaced print heads transfix rollers, main boards, power supplies, and preheaters).
Phaser III Final Assembly - Production Assembler II, Wilsonville (8/9/93 to 10/25/94)
• Operated computer system that performed data collection and bar code label generation; involved data entry via keyboard and bar code scanning, as well as subassembly.
Flex Circuit Board Division - Production Assembler II, Beaverton (8/9/93 to 8/8/94)
• Measured impedance using Tektronix 1502B metallic TDR cable tester.
• Experience with vapor phase reflow, solder dip, and solder wave.
• Used 8060A true RMS multimeter and optical comparator for troubleshooting. Received and shipped inventory.
• Utilized computer on-line tracking (Colt) system for inputting work in process data.
Hybrid Component Operation - Laser Trim Operation II. Beaverton (6/23/86 to 6/18/92)
• Used microscope operated laser trim equipment for resistive trimming and scribing.
• Set up ESI Model 25 and Photon C02 scribe by attaching mechanical hardware (trim fixtures, probes, and trim tables).
• Experience with computer and peripheral equipment; floppy disk, hard drive, monitor DEC tape drive, and LRC meter; test resistors / DVOM and deviation bridge capacitors. Read and interpreted blueprints.
