Ms. Mackin has over thirty years of diversified experience in managing change initiatives, projects and departments. She is a Certified Change Manager (Prosci certification program), Certified Project Manager (Project Management Institute) as well as having received her M.B.A. with a concentration in IT. Fran recently completed two consulting engagements, successfully utilizing change management best practices and a defined change methodology to realize project ROI with a focus on speed of adoption, technology utilization, and learning programs to increase system proficiency.

Principal
• Provided change management oversight, and mentoring to staff, during the multi-million dollar ERP implementation for a Chicago-based wholesaler working with two external system integration firms to balance the system goals while managing the human side of the organization.
• Developed and administered change assessment tools for implementation of new technology platform to 100+ employees to assess the culture, leadership, as well as middle management’s disposition to the financial changes planned for the ERP implementation.
• Completed in-depth manager interviews and assembled change management sub-team to identify potential employee resistance factors, resulting in the development/implementation plan to address these factors. Worked with mid-level managers to build trust via open communications with staff as well as monitor system proficiency.
• Completed training needs assessment not only considering new system functionality, but also current state/future state processes. Developed three phase training model to first engage employees with an emphasis on the benefits of the system, the second training focused on the concepts needed to be successful in utilizing the new system capabilities, and the third phase of training on using the new system capabilities in typical business scenarios. The training also provided post implementation mentoring.
• Engaged project team to provide one on one mentoring to key sponsors to address senior level management changes that took place concurrent to the implementation of the system; completed sponsor assessments to track changing acceptance of the system.
• Reviewed and made recommendations to the change/risk components of the enterprise Project Management Office methodology. Based on Prosci's Change Management Best Practices report developed recommendation to utilize change management principles for the employee project manager training program.

Contract Project Manager
• Within the Market Research department, managed a comprehensive reporting system implementation project utilizing a New Zealand based system development organization, this company specialized in the development of marketing software tools and database services. This change initiative crossed functional and divisional lines to deliver data as a public utility for 17 countries. Working with the core project team completed a sponsor assessment to identify key individuals that required one on one system demonstrations to “sell” the system benefits. Working with the Market Research department senior leadership team encouraged early and often demonstration of the new report system capabilities.
• While working within the IT department, as a Business Relationship Manager, developed a change initiative project in conjunction with the corporate communication department to engage internal employees to share information via a blog. This project involved completing multiple assessments to engage employees and develop communications to support the change in the method of communications. This project was the basis for McDonald’s current Values in Practice blog.
Wrote and self-published book: “A Child’s Outlook: Charting the Course.” A how-to book for teaching project management and goal setting skills to children. 2003-2004

• Working with external training company, designed and implemented a solutions selling course converting 25 non-revenue generating customer service representatives to revenue generating, resulting in $200,000 in new revenue within 12 months.
