Initialization of the field of die correction starting with Lanka Aluminium Industries in Sri lanka by getting the proper guidance and corrective training method followed by the company hired senior die corrector well reputed England firm from December 14, 2000 up to January 01,2002. My Prime Responsibilities are as follows:

a) Ensuring all the dies are given in production according to daily computerized schedule of planning Department.

b) Correcting all the dies failed during production.

c) Taking the trials of new dies, correcting accordingly and keeping them ready for production.

d) Studying the design and modifying it by studying the trials and production problems.

e) Liaison between the die polishing, planning department and tooling department ( die shop ).

f) Coordination with press crew in setting parameters to control the extrusions exit temperature and speed to get the ideal shape.

g) Nitriding the dies passed in trials and Re-Nitriding the production dies by checking and correcting after 10-12 tons to get the maximum tonnage from a single die.

h) Suggesting the die manufactures to manufacture the dies making changes in previous designs.

I) Tuning the parameters in case of trouble shooting.

j) Reporting to Tooling Engineer and Production Manager.
