PROJECTS:

‘Cost Optimization of Raw materials and Energy for Indian Paper Industry compared to other global players’ (2010-2011), IIT Roorkee

Project was done as part of the curriculum for completion of Bachelor of Technology. The main objectives of the project included selection of appropriate process technology, designing papermachine to achieve its targets, adoption of energy conserving measures, development of an optimum module of CHP, reducing fibre loss and maintaining eco-friendly operations.

‘Dynamic response of multiple effect evaporator’ (2010), IIT Roorkee

Thr project involves the study of the behavior of multiple effect evaporator with the variations in steam and feed flow rate. The calculations have been done using the MATLAB software.

Influence of the structural configuration and other paramaters of tissue paper products on their softness (2010)

There are no standard methods for the determination of softness property of tissue products using instruments. The summer internship was aimed at measuring different properties of the tissue samples and finding any possible relationship between the measured properties and the softness of the respective tissue grades. Surface characterisation, topography and tissue compressibility are some of the properties that were measured.

Vapor Liquid Equilibria for binary mixtures (2009)

Generated vapour liquid equilibrium data for binary mixtures of acetophenone with 1,2-Dichloroethane, Trichloroethylene, Cyclohexane and 1,1,2,2-Tetrachloroethane using Swietoslawski ebulliometer.

Performance appraisal and career management (2009)

The performance appraisal and career management system of Air India was studied by conducting surveys. The survey was done on 50 employees at all levels through questionnaires and interviews.
