Front Line Manager (Common Rail-Diesel Injector) (2005 – 2008)

Lead 22 associates in high volume single piece flow production workshop producing 250k components per month.

• Utilized Bosch Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing Systems; implemented Total Preventive Maintenance and Autonomous Maintenance in SAP and diagnosed machine problems also coordinate machine set – ups and changeovers to meet production schedules.

• Lead and engaged a High Performance Team of production associates that realized scarp improvements of 15% indirect materials reduction of 8% and increased first time yield by 3% over two quarter period of time and reduced overtime by 12%.

• Lead implementation of Pull Systems for Outside and Inside Diameter grinding work cells to better achieve the goals for production, Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement for the workshop.

• Lead process improvements for Erosion Grinding in Charleston after completing a 3 month assignment in Homburg, Germany upon return to Charleston successfully launched the production for Erosion Grinding of the third generation of Common Rail Diesel Injectors (saved greater than $187,000.00 in the first year).
