Present Experience
From January 2009 to Till date:
Working as a Chemist in M/s. Konaseema Gas Power Limited, Devarapalli (445MW Combined Cycle Power Plant) having 2X140 MW Gas Turbines (Make: Siemens AG, Germany) and 1x165 MW Steam Turbine (Make: LMZ, Russia).
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall Operations of Water Management Systems, Laboratory Analysis, Procurement of Chemicals & Instruments, Man Power Management and also looking after total Environmental aspects of the Power plant.
Experience in Detail:
• Setting-up and commissioning of Chemical Laboratory.
• Analytical method development, validation and writing SOP's.
• Lead the chemistry department with the help of HOD, developing the technical skills among the team regarding operations of equipment & monitoring the parameters & taken responsibility for all the activities.
• Operation & Working on PLC System (GE Fanuc) in D.M Plant. (Capacity 2 x 29 M3/hr, Doshion Make, Stream PSF, ACF, WAC, SAC, DG, SBA and MB). Monitoring the DM Plant Water Analysis & Optimizing the Plant Operation as per the Analysis Results. Prime responsibility involves DM Plant operations to achieve zero breakdown targets planning and effective utilization of resources.
• Operation of Chlorination Plant (Capacity: 160 Kg/hr., Make: Pennwalt Ltd, Mumbai), Maintained the Chlorine Leak Absorption System & Leak Detecting System in good condition.
• Monitoring & Control the CW Treatment for 50,000 M3/hr. circulating capacity counter flow induced draft cooling tower, Pre-cleaning and Passivation & Analysis of Corrosion Coupons.
• Monitoring & Control the Boiler Water Treatment for 2 x 278 TPH HRSG (L&T make with three pressure stages, HP-221 TPH, IP-38 TPH, LP-19 TPH), experienced in Alkali Boil Out & Acid Cleaning of Boiler.
• Commissioning & Operation of Effluent Treatment Plant.
• Monitoring the Hydrogen Purity inside the Generator Casing.
• Monitoring & Control the parameters of Stator Cooling Water System (including Ion exchange filters and Nitrogen capping) and Closed Cooling Water System.
• Taken lead to solve the Sulphuric acid dosing, storage and unloading system problems.
• Lead the Side Stream Filtration Units (VAG Filters) Commissioning, 4x125 M3/hr. capacities.
• Preparation of monthly performance reports, technical reports like monthly bulk chemicals reports etc., and submission of the same.
• Monitoring of Environmental aspects of the plant, like ambient air, water and Exhaust stack Emission measurement and submitting the monthly reports to the statutory bodies..
• Maintained good preservation for HRSG & DM Plant before Plant commissioning.
• An active member of Combined Cycle COD test team & taken responsibility for Effluent and Environmental Systems during test period.
• Calibration of the various laboratory instruments like pH, conductivity, turbidity, flame photometer etc.
• Hands on experience in operating of UV Spectrophotometer, Flame Photo meter, KF Coulometer, Millipore Synergy Water System, Flash Point meter, ORSAT Apparatus, Online Silica Analyzer etc.,
• Hands on experience in analysis of Water, Steam, Bulk Chemicals, and Preparation of all kinds of laboratory reagents (normality solutions etc.,)
• Introduced Method of Least Squares for Spectroscopic analysis for getting more accurate results.
