GIF Services Inc, Linden NJ

Feb 2000 through end 2006

Sales Manager selling for a smaller family owned international transportation company. I helped start the company from scratch and brought in some household name accounts. Employee training and recruiting, and budget planning. I negotiated with and brought in as our agents large overseas forwarders from Indonesia, China, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, which were made into highly profitable trade lanes both air and ocean into NY/NJ and LA/LB. Some of the household names included but were not limited to Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Museum of Modern Art and Alcan Packaging.

Inter Maritime Forwarding Co. William St, New York, New York 1992 through November 1999. Generated minimum $1.1 million dollars in revenue in years 1994 thru 1997. Started as salesman selling UK/NY trade lanes via air consols and weekly ocean consols. Huge household names at the time were brought on board including Burberry, Spode, Waterford Wedgewood, Sanderson Wall coverings. To name only a few. After that success I was asked to help revitalize the forwarding and brokerage sales which I did very successfully. I then worked for two years running the traffic department of IMF’s largest forwarding account, Cosmetech Mably at the request of their CFO. I reorganized their trade routes and factories in the Far East and handled shipping components to US, Canada, South and Central America and Western Europe.
