Abstracting chart to assign diagnoses, procedures and E&M codes using ICD-9CM, CPT and HCPC codes for the purpose of reimbursement and research compliances for federal and hospital regulations.
Specialize in maintaining Local Medical Review (LMRP) to meet federal regulation and compliances.
Coding electronic medical record for facility and professional
Able to update super bill and charge master if needed.
Responsible for quality control of patient’s medical record to collect data for research and statistical reporting.
Function as a supervisor to maintain and monitor staffing schedules, ensure adherence to policies and procedure.
Specialize in insurances, third party payer reimbursement and verification and assigning revenue codes if
needed.
Knowledge on assigning DRG codes to inpatient record as needed.
