Joined as an Accounts Officer.
I was entrusted with the responsibility of handling Cash and Bank
operations like
Updating of Bankbooks and to monitor Bank facilities like, Bill
discounting, OD A/c, L/C limits etc by regular visiting to Bank.
To prepare Documentations for establishing Indian and Foreign L/c's for
procurement of indigenous and Import materials.
Preparation of documents for renewal of limits.
Handled Secretarial jobs like share transfers, arranging Board of Directors
meeting and maintain minutes books etc.
The time I joined the company the company was paying very high Bank charges
and Interest as nobody were monitoring. I joining successfully and reduced
the same by Rs.15000/- PM(approx) by monitoring and calculating correct
rate of Interest and Bank charges on our various limits.
I was also responsible to monitor outstanding and recoveries from
customers. It was my duty to keep the outstanding s\to a minimum with
regular follow-ups with our sales department and my achievement in this
area was commendable as all the collections were realized within 30-60
days.
Due to my achievements of the targets given, I was the only Accounts
employee to get confirmed within a record span of four months(Though the
probationary period was given for Months in my appointment letter) .
I received cash award of Rs. 5000/- for Best performer of the year award in
1996 for saving Rs. 15000/- to the company on account of Bank charges with
promotion of Asst. manager(Accounts).
Based on my performance, the Management has transferred to purchase
department in January -1998.
To summarize my responsibility was to handle entire purchase department,
which includes the following functions for all three factories
Handled procurement functions for Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Spares,
Equipments and Machineries and other logistics for all three factories.
Adept at identifying reliable & cost effective vendor/suppliers and skilled
at managing planning and maintaining enough inventories and stores.
Handling of logistics and materials movement including internal unit
transfers.
Inventory control by regular visits to all three factories Dombivli, Nasik
and Nagpur.
Co-ordination was a very important part of my function. I had to co-
ordinate with all three factories for procurement of materials and
logistics, I have been successfully handling this function with continuous
dialogues with factory people.
Data Management
The time I joined the company, there were no system of costing of each
product which is easily available. I have started my own concept of
creating data of materials costing chart in computerized format which I
update every week and report to the management.
I got promoted as Dy.Manager(Materials) in April 2003.
