• Reporting directly to the Manager of the Development Department, responsible for the testing, quality assurance and specification conformance in primer and topcoat manufacturing facilities.
• Tested products with water or solvent borne components including, Acrylic, Epoxy, Polyurethane or Water Reducible Compounds along with Alkyd based paints and coatings.
• Developed three new products from concept, to pilot production and final production stages.
• Continually reviewed and tested the use of new more cost effective materials in existing product lines. Employed Industrial Test Methods (“ITM”) and ASTM standards to ensure modified products either met or exceeded the test standards for appearance and durability.
• Utilized a variety of wet chemistry techniques including pH, titration and viscosity readings for analysis of product samples.
