Olympus Flag & Banner:
Implemented cross training between Shipping and Receiving team, which led to quicker turnaround and processing of orders, as well as receipt and put away of materials
Genco ATC
Cost Savings and greater thruput by eliminating one of two Team Lead positions on second shift, and implementing 5S process statations. Cost savings was an immediate savings of over $40,000 for the year, while removing 160 hours a month of indirect labor. The process improvement implemented (5S workstations) allowed teammates more time to process by eliminating over 3.5hours per teammate in gathering materials. Material handlers were assigned specific “before” and “after” shift responsibilities, which were key to accomplishing this.
UTI Worldwide Logistics
Implemented process improvement model for first and second shift. This increased production 55%, decreasing lost cartons 98% and flow to outbound decreased 8 hours (from 24hours to 16). Overall, increasing outbound ready freight by 75%, improving RDC standing from 19 to 11 in 3 months.
