SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

I have performed extensive and effective research in the field of Food Safety and Quality Enhancement with the emphasis on various probiotics and foodborne pathogens. My research has revolved around the application and effective use of non-thermal technologies (chlorine, ozone, quaternary ammonium compound, ultraviolet irradiation, probiotic supplements, natural ingredients, and electrostatic spray technology), thermal technologies (heated sanitizers and microwave oven technology), rapid detection (ELISA, API 20E), subtyping (PFGE) of microorganisms, and PCR in addressing Food Safety and Quality issues on dairy infant formula, fruits, vegetables, poultry, beef, and food contact surface materials.
