• Projects include implementation of Lean manufacturing (Kan Ban and One Piece Flow system) at a sewing facility in Mexico.
2001 – 2003 MedSource Technologies, Inc. - Novojoa, Son., México
General Manager
• Led the start-up of a new Class III Medical Device manufacturing facility which consisted of injection molding and over molding for electrical assemblies that were manufactured in the facility. This was met by meeting or exceeding performance metrics such as customer expectations, on time delivery, lot acceptance, scrap, productivity and P&L.
• As Management Representative successfully passed FDA/GMP audit without any observations.
• I was able to increased existing catheter (PICC) line 500% (from 1000 per week to 5000), while only increasing the work force by 75%, (through lean manufacturing). This was done by implanting One Piece Flow and Module Cell systems.
• Successfully transferred cable assembly product line for Smith & Nephew from California to the facility in Mexico without any interruption while increase quality and product mix.
