QUALIFICATIONS

Accomplished, knowledgeable Senior Engineer with significant experience in FEA, conducting field experiments, and structural design for land combat vehicle. Co-ordinate, lead, and execute multi-discipline projects in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Inventor of the revolutionary Double-V hull structure (Stryker DVH) for Light Armor Vehicle (Patent Application Number 201********). Received Innovator of the Year award from the General Dynamics Corporation in 2010. Current research is on controlling the structural-acoustic vibration and improving the transmission loss properties on aerospace vehicles due to turbulent boundary layer pressure fluctuation. Lecturer on non-linear dynamic FEA in the Advanced Aerospace Structure graduate course at UTIAS.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada

September 2001 – Present

Lead, Senior Engineer – Survivability Department IR&D (Level II Security Clearance)

Currently on Educational Leave of Absence to conduct researches at the University of Toronto Institute of Aerospace Studies

- Performed non-linear transient dynamics and linear static finite element analysis on mechanical systems to evaluate their structural integrity under mine blast load, and normal operating conditions

- Planned, organized and performed explosive/mine testing trials to evaluate the structural integrity of the vehicles, as well as to validate the modeling results

- Coordinated and budgeted resources for FEA effort and other technical activities within the department on various development projects such as, FCS, FRES, JLTV, Stryker, SMOD, USMC, etc
