The company is a North American subsidiary comprised of four stainless steel product divisions. Sales of $500 million per year. Corporate world headquarters located in Espoo, Finland and tubular division headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
• Executive Vice President and General Manager, Outokumpu Stainless Tubular Division, Wildwood, FL (1/08 – 11/09)
Responsible for all activities of the Wildwood production site including long term strategy; sales and marketing; production; quality assurance; human resources; engineering and finance. Annual 2008 sales of $90 million. Pipe Board member.
Obtained approval for and purchased $7 million in capital expenditures to improve production of heavy wall, large diameter pipe used in worldwide projects
Changed furnace fuel from propane to natural gas resulting in an $800,000 savings in 2009
Added capital investments and increased production of high margin, special grades by 25% with a maximum capacity of 50%
Restructured inside sales department to focus on greater sales volume

Increased manufacturing productivity by dropping work hours per ton from 21.9 to 19.4, lowered average WIP levels from 1200 MT to 750 MT, helping to lower inventory processing days, and improved on-time shipping performance from 57% in 2005 to 89% by the end of 2007.
Implemented safety program lowering lost time accidents from ten per million hours worked in 2005 to two per million hours worked in 2007
Launched 5S system plant wide in 2006 and Operator Maintenance in 2007

Lowered purchased cost of solid wire by 25% and increased product quality by changing sourcing from Canada to Taiwan
