OBJECTIVES
A result oriented, highly organized and hardworking professional that is seeking a challenging career in structural engineering.
EDUCATION
BSCE (Emphasized in Structural), May 2007 (GPA: 3.79), University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia
MSCE (Emphasized in Structural), May 2009 (GPA: 4.00), University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky
Undergraduate Senior Project (August 2006 - May 2007)
•Performed experimental modal analysis on existing bridges using ambient vibration method. The mode shapes and natural frequencies of selected structures were determined during free vibration. The dynamic properties are then compared to Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS.
Master Degree Program (Jan 2008- May 2009)
•Master Project - Deployed Analytical Strip Method to perform strength analysis on stiffened and unstiffened circular cylindrical shells with various thicknesses and then compared with ones derived from 2D and 3D Finite Element Model using ANSYS.
•Non Linear Analysis Course Project - Performed Non-linear analysis on truss and frame structures using MASTAN2 which equipped with first- or second- order elastic and inelastic analysis.
•Additional curriculum includes 20 feet bridges design and fabrication for ASCE OVSC student steel bridge competition on 2008 and 2009.
•Teaching assistant for Mechanics of Deformable Solid class.
EXPERIENCES
R&P Industrial Chimney Co., Inc., Structural Engineer (February 2008 - July 2009)
•Structural design of industrial steel work, stack, chimney, silo, ductwork, tower, process equipments, components and civil engineering work.
•Construction administration, regular site visit, shop drawing review.
•Development of design calculations in visual basic programming excels spreadsheet & MathCAD.
