Bechtel are working on the 15 Billion USD, New Doha International Airport Project in Doha Qatar. In my role there as a senior electrical engineer, I was responsible for delivering all of the electrical aspects of the airport fuel systems sub-stations contract, as well as the main utilities contract. My main overall duties were to trouble shoot electrical contractors’ daily work activities in the field to overcome obstacles and meet project critical deadlines. I was responsible for energization, power load calculation verification, engineering coordination, in house instrumentation testing, and Building Management System Integration. My team successfully commissioned and handed over both the airport fuel systems and utilities portions of the airport project. My main day to day duties additionally included: Safety Compliance, field monitoring, installation quality assurance and related documentation, inspections, testing, engineering shop drawing review, calculation verification, and coordination and implementation of construction procedures.

I Insured Safety and Quality in all aspects of the maintenance and construction process. I attend meetings, and facilitated contractors’ needs when is necessary. I assisted the owner with schedule and contract formation/administration and reviewed plans from take-off to close out. Financial planning, invoicing and billing for all maintenance and construction duties were also in my remit.
