• Served as a member of Visteon Corporation’s 2005 Class B and 2005 SCAMPI A appraisal teams and created, executed, and monitored companywide processes, which ensured SW/SE CMMI Maturity Levels 2 and 3 were met; processes were comprehensible and widely received. Led gap analysis and process definition/deployment activities; closed all gaps.

• Supported and ensured the obtainment of ISO 9000 and SW-CMM Maturity Level 2 and Level 3 for an electronics division of Ford Motor Company.

• Led effort to successfully obtain customer required Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 in 2009 and 2010 for Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne software organizations in Canoga Park, California and Huntsville, Alabama. Also was a member of the externally-led 2009 and 2010 appraisal teams, which used the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) appraisal methodology.

• Successfully improved quality at Visteon Corporation by spearheading the definition/deployment of quality assurance audit processes, including the training, coaching and mentoring of audit personnel.

• Trained, coached, and mentored Visteon Corporation’s engineering personnel on-site at Shanghai, China and Chihuahua, Mexico on engineering processes. Also led a global process improvement/update team, which tailored and released to the Visteon process website, Chihuahua current-model processes to meet Chihuahua and corporate needs.

• Managed product development teams at IBM in building and revising submarine sonar system software. Also managed/led IBM development/deployment teams at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation to meet process and quality improvement objectives.

• Secured a key contract for IBM due to successfully presenting a VME-bus display demo to the US Navy.

• Contributed to saving $5M for IBM’s software release activities by specifying requirements for an AN/UYK-43 memory database and REXX execs, which created a program that was utilized for AN/BSY-1 and other AN/UYK computer contracts.
