I was in charge of inspecting First Article, in-process and end-product. Products were inspected to Military Standard. I also ran a dye penetrant system and worked closely with production machinists to ensure tight tolerances were met.

CMM Programmer/Senior Quality Technician

Star Manufacturing (Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, Metal Stamping) – Lexington, Kentucky

My primary responsibilities were first article (PPAP) and in-process product inspection and programming/operating a Brown and Sharpe CMM (PC-DMIS software). I worked very closely with press operators and the tool-and-die department to achieve optimal manufacturing scenarios. I also maintained the chemical integrity of a top-of-the-line e-coat system.

In this position, I did the recruiting, contracting, training and continual motivation of a team of 20-30 independent contractors. I managed their production efforts in terms of sales volume and level of service. I was the recipient of several service awards, designed a great deal of widely used promotional advertising and cross-trained in the Marketing department for six months.
