Additional Information:

I had a 2 year commitment to Ballet Hoo!: Ballet Cahnged My Life. This was a Channel 4 Documentary in which youths were chosen from the West Midlands area, and given the opportunity to work with experienced and professional Ballet, Comtemporary and break dancers from around the world, and from the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Namely Desmond Kelly and Marion Tait.

As part of the documentary we were given life skills lessons, and had to commit every weekend to attend the programme. It was all part of the lead up to a final production of Kenneth MacMillian’s Romeo and Juliet, to be performed at the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham. Only a hand full of 500 youths were given main parts: Tybalt, Guards, Prince of Verona, Lord and Lady Montague and Capulet, and the part I was honoured with- Rosaline.

I have also helped out with the charity SSAFA (soliders, sailors, airforce family assosciation) with my Grandparents. That involved selling raffle tickets, walking around with a collection pot, and tombola’s and nail painting. The charity usually books in at outdoor events such as country and westerns. I’ve been doing this for years, since I was a young girl, and only stopped when I had prior commitments to full time work. I also worked as an “Owl” for a local Brownies group, also voluntary. That involved playing games, such as, direction games, skill games, reaction games and thinking games. I also helped the girls achieve different badges in creative arts, performing arts, health and safety, cooking etc. Again I left because of prior work commitments.

Thank you for your time.
