Attn: Human Resources

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for the opportunity to interview with your company for an ILI Pipeline Inspector. Although I have enjoyed my previous experiences, I would like to become a part of the ever-growing petroleum industry, and have decided to continue my persuit of a permanent career in this direction. Please, find enclosed a current copy of my résumé for your review.

As you can see from the résumé, my background has been working primarily as a Journeyman Inside Wireman in a variety of industries. In this capacity, I have inspected, troubleshot, repaired, installed, and maintained various electrical systems, controls, and equipment in compliance with national codes and safety standards. I have also worked in dangerous conditions and with hazardous materials and high voltage. One of my strengths is having a strong aptitude for learning new information and being able to apply what I have learned in a safe and efficient manner.

Each job has to be performed accurately according to precise specifications.

Other qualities which I feel are necessary for success in today’s highly-evolved, fast-paced environment include: the ability to work and communicate with diverse groups of people at all levels; the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a timely and efficient manner; and foremost, the willingness and enthusiasm to tackle new and challenging projects.

Again, I am very interested in putting my skills and knowledge to work for your company. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Rhonda K. Carter
