ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: Positions held include: administrative assistant, executive administrative assistance, accounting clerk, and administrative support staff. As a management professional, I monitor and maintain important databases, create and generate reports on monthly bases and/or as needed, provide oral and written correspondence, provide support to management, originate travel arrangements, coordinate meetings and conferences, customer service and assistance.
WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS: As a facilitator and preparer of Individual Service Plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, I assured that their wants, needs and desires were reflected in their written plan. This included preparing written documentation on a monthly basis reflecting observations of interactions, communication, etc., between individuals, the staff working with them and their families.
CASE MANAGEMENT/CONSUMER – CLIENT ADVOCACY/PROGRAM MANAGER: As an advocate and mandated reporter, I have served as a targeted case manager and a property manager for individuals with developmental disabilities. I have also served as a special advocate for children in foster system of DeKalb County as a CASA worker, which included attending and providing information and insight in court cases. The scope of my duties included but are not limited to: providing monthly support for individuals with developmental disabilities, prepare and deliver necessary legal documentation to regional offices and/or DFCS offices, monitor day program services, residential services, and supported employment services of individuals with developmental disabilities assuring that they receive proper and quality services as outlined and required by the state system. This position also required timely documenting and reporting of findings of neglect, abuse, injuries, etc. Attend and provide information and insight in court cases. I arrange and facility meetings with consumers/clients, their family members, providers and the support team. This included facilitating annual meetings to determine the level of supports individuals with developmental disabilities will need to be successful in completing task that would provide them with the best quality of life possible.
