• Enterprise Learning Management 9.0: Performed a fit/gap analysis for a major automaker in Michigan. Gave international presentations of the product, demonstrating the strength of the product and showing how its utilization would move the client forward in their educational endeavors. Documented product capabilities, identified customizations, interfaces, and configurations, created Detailed Design Documents and worked with the client to plan a smooth transition from the legacy training system to ELM 9.0. Also helped client realize the value of utilizing existing technologies (i.e. JavaScript) with their implementation (e.g., modification of client’s custom web-courses to allow them to work within the framework of ELM, utilization of this script to capture a user’s language and display an appropriate {language specific} message to the user (and to grant or deny access to the user based upon certain criteria).

• Enterprise Learning Management 8.81: Technical Lead for a project requiring innovating strategies for its utilization of ELM. Customized ELM so that the system could assign different credits to learners depending on their Job Titles (e.g. a doctor participating in training could receive six credits while a nurse taking the same course would only get two credits). An administration page and a corresponding role were created to facilitate the easy addition of more available credit types. Christian created integrations between a 3rd party system and ELM using Web Services so that course information could be brought over via XML and inserted into a learner’s history. Worked on the External Learner Project, helping to make the search work in a manner that did not require the learner to logon in order to search or browse the catalog; also helped to make it so that a learner could self-register, thereby removing the need to have an administrator add an external learner manually.

• Human Resources, Enterprise Performance Management, Enterprise Learning Management: Gathered business requirements through a Fit/Gap analysis of the client’s current business processes while proposing solutions for the future PeopleSoft environment. Primary responsibilities were to design and implement custom modifications and system processes, design and build custom PeopleSoft Records, Pages, PeopleCode, and components using PeopleTools 8.44. The technical member of a team of two, and also helped with the functional work. Conducted the running of full and incremental syncs, created the learning infrastructure, utilized the delivered PeopleSoft Workflow for optimal performance and modified delivered PeopleCode to meet business needs.

• Enterprise Learning Management 8.81: Participated in the customization of several delivered pages for a client. These customizations included coding and testing a custom AppEngine process that creates new learner groups based on criteria determined by the end-user. Modified the Manager’s Home Page (in ELM) to display a learner’s Employee Status (as brought over from HR) and modified delivered records and existing Application Classes to meet business needs. Also responsible for customizing the Activities’ Attachment page to allow an administrator to add a URL link.

• Enterprise Learning Management 8.81: A key developer that customized several pages for the client. Coded an AppEngine to read in (and reformat) data files needed by the client for conversion. Created an AppEngine to allow the client to create custom Learner Groups based on data stored on their custom tables.

• Enterprise Learning Management 8.81: Examined client’s implementation of the ELM product and offered advice on how the setup could be improved upon for more efficient processing. Customized pages for the client and provided code that allowed additional features and functionality to the product. Created a custom batch process to automatically select certain options for users (yet retain any options that a user might want to change), altered the formatting of the catalog structure, and provided a solution to organize the catalog alphabetically (this solution also allowed for ‘priority’ classes to forgo the alphabetization and appear first in the catalog).

• Human Resource (eRecruit/WorkForce Administration) 8.9: Created Testing Documentation and Technical Design Documentation for the client’s upgrade project. Examined the client’s previous implementation of PeopleSoft HR to determine which customizations would need to be reapplied to the new system, re-designed, or were already handled by the new capabilities in HR 8.9.
