Current Goal:

PROFESSIONAL GOAL:
To practice full scope primary care optometry, with an emphasis on accurate refractions, contact lens fittings, and ocular disease in a private land or commercial clinical setting. I provide quality, efficient, safe, effective, caring, optometric services to all patients every time.

OPTOMETRIC EXPERIENCE:
Braverman Eye Center-Hallandale Beach, FL
A three month internship with emphasis on anterior and posterior segment diseases, diagnosis and treatment. Experience was gained in using therapeutic medications (including topical and oral) in the management and complete treatment of ocular infections, inflammations, and glaucoma. Additional experience was gained in cataract pre and post operative care and advanced diagnostic procedures including ultrasonography, B scans, HRT technology, Topography and corneal thickness. Training also included Lasik: pre and post operative care. Priceless experience was gained through following working, and training with: a corneal specialist, an ocular-plastic surgeon, a neuron-ophthalmologist, and a retinal specialist.

A three month internship with emphasis on primary care, contact lenses including hydrogels, rigid gas permeables, keratoconus, multi-focals and torics. Additional experience was gained in using topical therapeutic medications in the management of ocular infections, inflammations, and glaucoma. Practice management concepts were also gained as well as the experience with the “paperless” patient – record computer system.
The Eye Institute-Nova Southeastern University-Fort Lauderdale, FL
A six month internship with emphasis on primary care optometry, contact lenses, pediatrics, binocular vision, and low vision. Further experience was gained in using therapeutic medications in the management of ocular infections, inflammation, and glaucoma. Additional experience was gained in strabismus, visual training and nursing home care.
Low Vision Clinic- Nova Eye Institute, Davie, FL
An intensive internship involving treatment and management of low vision patients. Experience was gained with microscopes, telescopes, eccentric viewing training, and other low vision devices.
