My name is Michael Skeen Jr. I am a 30 year old white male with a background in various areas of construction. I have installed AC duct on various government jobs as well as residential. Also, I have experience in plumbing as well as installing insulation in both plumbing and AC duct. Aside from commercial construction, I worked in residential construction framing houses.

I was raised in Florence, Mississippi, by my single mother. I attended Florence High School and played football. By 9th grade, I had been offered a full-paid scholarship to play football for LSU. During my 10th grade year, my mother fell ill and could not work. I quit school and obtained a full-time job framing residential homes to support my mother and me. When housing construction slowed, I obtained employment with Blackwell Chevrolet in the shipping and receiving. After two months, I was promoted to delivering parts. When housing construction picked up again, I obtained employment again with White House Construction and worked for them over the course of four years. I am mechanically minded and learn quickly. I am physically fit with no physical ailments. I have both PEC and TWIC cards. I am certified in Fire Watch, Rigging API RP-2D 6th Edition, Advanced Offshore Water Survival and Huet with Triton Simulator, Air Winch Safety, and Confined Space (Entrant/Attendant). I have dealt with OSHA regulations and guidelines for over 15 years. I have dealt with MMS going on 2 years. I understand what’s expected of offshore employees and continuously strive to surpass those expectations.

I intend to make my career in the offshore industry. I want to make a good life for myself and my family, which requires employment with a great company that will keep me busy. I am not afraid of long hitches and actually prefer them. I am not afraid of hard work and do well under pressure and deadlines. I work hard and learn fast. I am dependable and goal-driven.
