• HIPPA contact for Facility- Training of all new employees- had breach with family member looking through chart, filled in incident report and retraining of employee.

• On one of my 3 clinicals I did acute care coding and ED coding on EMR called click-point-care, we would have to code a stack of charts over a foot tall in one day. With 95% accuracy. Most hospitals have a policy as how many charts to code in an hour.

• I have used the 3M encoder at all my practicum’s and while in school.

• I do a regular walk through at the facility to make sure all patient information is not being compromised left out in the open.

• I graduated top of my class, I had coding I, II, III. And did excellent in all the classes.

• I am known as the "super" user on the computer at our facility and working in the EMR.

• I have dealt with lawyers in the Release of information and had to explain the proper channels needed to go through to gain access to information people need access to.

• I had ICD-10 in school and am very excited to get some more training. That has since been bumped back to 2014; many are not ready for the change. I attend many coding conferences learning the newest and latest in coding. It is very important to stay on top on the ever changing health care system. AHIMA and CMS are good reference places.
