I currently reside in Red Deer, and am looking for permanent full time work. Recently this past year I‘ve become a new mom, and am part of a successful marriage. My daughter who is now one, has found a reliable day home with my sister, as a result I will be striving to start work as soon as possible. I have completed extensive Geomatics Engineering Technology Post Secondary education at Lethbridge College, and have been involved in the engineering industry for six years and counting.

I am energetic, peppy, and extremely attentive. I enjoy the fast paced technical environment, and feel that with my current education and work experience I could be an asset to any company in the consulting industry. In addition to Microsoft Office, Excel, and database training, I have also completed various other courses including, but not limited to, First Aid, Snowmobile Safety, Avalanche Awareness, H2S, WHMIS, Transporting Dangerous Goods, and Concrete Testing et-c. Due to the vast amount of outdoor experience I have, along with my office experience I would be quite the mach for the type of work your company requires. Being energetic, outgoing, responsible, and communicative, I am easy to get along with, honest and trustworthy. Employment History:

Municipal Designer/Materials Technician April 2008 - Feb 2009 GENIVAR As part of a team environment I was involved in various large scale projects including but not limited to, proposal writing, drafting, quantities, drilling projects, administrative work etc. I was able to utilize drafting skills as well as survey skills and problem solving. I managed all municipal testing , and was responsible for scheduling and carrying out the following materials testing; soils, densities with nuclear gauges, concrete, asphalt, drill truck procedures, and soil classification etc. Lab work was acquired in the performance of clay proctors, Marshall’s on asphalt, Atterburg Limits etc. Extensive bookkeeping and clerical skills were required.

Surveyor/Crew Chief/Survey Coordinator May 2007 – Jan 2008 Tagish Engineering I carried out various data collection techniques for topographic, preliminary and control surveys. Site layout consisting of, but not limited to; subdivisions: municipal stake out, sidewalk and street layout, utilities including water, sanitary and storm sewer. As the Geomatics Technician I was responsible for downloading, loading, archiving all the technical information, and subsequently responding to the project managers. I ensured and prepared all technical maintenance, grade sheet calculations coordination for surveys, design gradients, and auto CADD drafting projects. Proficiencies using the total station level, and GPS equipment were acquired.

Surveyor/Technician May 2006 - Aug 2006 Cicon Engineering Acquired knowledge of various data collection techniques for; topographic, preliminary and control surveys. Site layout consisting of but not limited to; subdivisions: municipal stake out, sidewalk and street layout, utilities including water, sanitary and storm sewer. Surveyor’s Assistant May 2005- Aug 2005 Cicon Engineering As part of a two person field crew I assisted in data collection, and site layout. During this time I acquired the knowledge to be precisely familiar with topography grid collection and site layout using total stations.

Mulhurst Lagoon Operation Manual – Mulhurst, Alberta

I compiled an operation manual to accurately detail the functionality of all parts within the lagoon system: A construction completion manual was compiled as well. I also provided drafting skills for the operation drawings.

Mulhurst Lagoon Water Study – Mulhurst, Alberta

I assisted in preparing a water study/report on the creek in which the Mulhurst lagoon discharges its treated water. This project was extremely important, as members of the community were extremely opposed the new lagoon design, and were concerned of pollution. As a result we were able to detail the facts that arose in that the quality of the effluent creek was improved tremendously, when the lagoon discharged water in the spring!

Ohaton Water Reservoir – Ohaton, Alberta

I carried out concrete and density testing throughout the duration of the project, as well as subsequent lab and clerical work.

Queens Business Park – Red Deer, Alberta

Utilized drafting skills to carry out a number of drafting projects including but not limited to: quantity calculations, generation of plans for county, and Alberta Transportation review, landscaping plans of ponds and park.

Proposal for a Pre-design Water and Wastewater Report – Clairmont Alberta

The client was requesting a study of the upgrade options to Clairmont’s current reservoir and pump house system. I was fortunate to assist in writing of the proposal‘s methodology portion.

~2007~

General - Sylvan Lake, Alberta

Survey Coordinator and Crew Chief for all construction surveys within the municipality, I worked in close relations with the Town Office and companies like Border Paving Pidherneys, Proform, and private contractors.

Rail Way Park Promenade – Sylvan Lake, Alberta

Beginning to end I was fortunate to be part of the construction process for an entire blocks makeover to a esthetically pleasing network of walks, parking lots, and landscaping. Upgrades of existing utilities, parking lots, and sidewalks, to existing heath care center, swim club, and arena were made.

Water Line Addition – Sylvan Lake, Alberta

I carried out preliminary and construction surveys for a water line and additional pumphouse on an existing treatment station.

Storm Upgrade - Sylvan Lake, Alberta

Preliminary survey, consisting of a ten lock area along the town’s Lake Shore Drive. The storm system being as old as the town it’s self required massive upgrades. Due to the vast amount of data and organization required, I became very familiar in storing and filing information in strategic and accessible ways.

~2006~

Girl Guide Camp Flood Repairs – Fort Macleod, Alberta

I was responsible for preliminary and as-built surveys. I was able to familiarize myself with construction practices within environmentally sensitive areas, knowledge in the areas of inspection, quantities, and specifications were acquired.

Water Intake Repairs – Granum, Alberta

I performed project management along with preliminary and construction surveys. This project consisted of in bed water line intake repairs under willow creek and required an aqua-dam during construction. I took care of all correspondences, with government approvals, contractor and client.
