I am confident that my years of service and experience with ITT Industries Systems Division (an ISO 9000 certified corp.) would be an Asset to your organization. My experience as the ITT Industries Systems Division Facilities Manager has included coordinating numerous multi-million dollar projects into the 209 facilities that I managed for the 30th Range Squadron at Vandenberg AFB, CA.. Coordinated numerous VIP visits to the Western Range Operations Control Center, to include three general officer change of command ceremonies.
SUMMARY
A results-oriented Project Lead with extensive experience in the management, organization and administration of Facilities Management, Engineering Operations and Technical Systems.
Strengths in Facilities management, Team Building, Installation, Quality Assurance, and Communication Systems. Additional skills in problem solving, investigations, training, security and supervision.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Team Building
As a newly promoted Facilities Manager I coordinated the installation of a $1.5M Static Uninterruptible Power System (SUPS) into Vandenberg’s newest facility. The Western Range Operations Control Center (WROCC), an 118,000 sq. ft. facility, which was my main responsibility. This required integration between the sub-contractors, the 30th Range Squadron, the base Contracting office and the Civil Engineering Squadron. Coordinated the second phase installation of the first redundant SUPS into the WROCC.
Coordinated the integration of California Space Authority’s Alternate Range Operations Control Center. A proof of concept alternate capability for commercial space users at Vandenberg AFB. Concurrently coordinated with the Space Lift Range System Contractors, WROCC activation contract and installation, which dovetailed with the Lockheed Martin Range Standardization Automation installation contract, a base wide and WROCC task, both of which were $1.2B+ contracts. This is in addition to overseeing facilities usage by the Missile Defense Association program. At the same time responsible for the day-to-day reporting, tracking, filing and coordination of maintenance activities of the 209 30th Range Squadron facilities. To include two monthly reports to upper management and the 30th Space Wing on the status of said day-to-day maintenance activities and Health and Safety issues at all sites.
Interfaced with Headquarters Air Force Space Command Force Protection representatives, base contracting office and sub-contractors on the two initial security upgrades. Interfaced with Base security personnel on physical and emission security issues for the third and final $1M+ review and security system installation into the WROCC. Also coordinated Force protection issues at all outlying off-base operational sites with the 30th Space Wing Security Forces.
Project Administration
Established and coordinated, communicated facilities maintenance requirements and costs as the behind the scenes representative for the 30th Range Squadron Commander, for the Facilities Board Working Group, on a semi-annual basis. The FBWG is the government entity that allocates all base maintenance funding across the board. This requires excellent communication of the justification for the work, which competes with all other base entities.
As a Quality Control Representative, conducted operational site audits on range equipment. Responsible for monitoring 38 sites, with equipment valued at over $60 Million. Many of these locations are remote and required TDY travels.
As a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician, maintained and rebuilt the uninterruptible 480-volt, 5000 Amp Exide power system, that provided primary power to the Air force Missile Launch control center at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Ca.
