Introduction:
My employment history over the past ten years has been in the insurance industry owning my own agency as an independent agent. Before the start of my carrier in insurance in 1999, I had extensive experience in customer service, retail merchandising, sales and management with Home Depot for 8yrs. I also have experience in route and delivery driving with Home Depot, Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water, Kalil and Republic National Distribution.
I started my carrier in insurance in 1999 with Prudential Insurance in Phoenix, Az. as a captive Property & Casualty agent. In 2001 Prudential Insurance sold their Property & Casualty division to Liberty Mutual and I had the opportunity to move my book of business ( which had already exceeded annual premium of over $1,000,000 ) from Prudential Insurance and contract as an independent agent with Berwick-Himes Insurance Services, L.L.C. in Tucson Az. under the name of The Abbott Agency. I was contracted with Berwick-Himes Insurance Services, L.L.C. from 2001 thru August 2009. In August of 2009, I sold my Property & Casualty book of business to Berwick-Himes Insurance Services, L.L.C., wanting to focus on different lines of insurance.
My insurance agency was built by net-working with current policy holders, banks, auto dealerships, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, title companies, captive agents and other insurance agents specializing in health or life insurance. I have had agent agreements with The Hartford, Met-Life, Safeco, Encompass, Travelers, Austin Mutual, Liberty Mutual, CNA, Bankers, First American Property & Casualty, Haggerty, Progressive, Mendota, Deer Brook, Colonial General, Foremost, American Modern, American Reliable, Kemper, Auto Owners, United Health Care, HealthNet, Cigna and BlueCross BlueShield. My book of business was over 1700 policy’s in which I both serviced and maintained. I also had excellent policy retention, low loss ratios, and have never had a complaint filed or disciplinary action take. I am currently an independent agent selling Property & Casualty, Life and Health Insurance plans.
