SUBJECT: William Gray
I have known William Gray in his capacity as Scaffold supervisor/Inspector for the past 12 months or so whilst he has worked on my site here in Manchester.
The green Quarter phase 6 Development is a £47M construction project consisting of 2 blocks of residential apartments to 18 storeys.
During this period Mr Gray has been responsible for all the day to day design and inspections of all the scaffold on site. His commitment to the highest standards of health and safety in his field is demonstrated daily and his record keeping is exemplary.
Mr Gray is an exceptional communicator whose approach to Scaffolding safety is based on sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislations and their associated Codes of Practice.
He takes a systematic approach to the appraisal of risks with regard to scaffold erection/dismantling and the implementation of appropriate control measures, including consulting with and involving his scaffold teams in all activities under his control, this in turn fosters and encourages the development of a shared and positive attitude towards safety.
I have found him to be diligent in the execution of his duties, and a trustworthy, reliable person who is keen to embrace any new initiatives that will be of benefit to the Company or its employees.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to any future employer.
