Virgin Mobile USA is the first Mobile network Operator in the US and it is does not operate on its own network. Instead, it piggybacks on the network of Sprint Communication. VMU selected Siebel Communication as a critical part of its IT infrastructure. Siebel Communication ensures that customer can “top-up” their accounts instantaneously at any time of day, through any channel and continue to receive uninterrupted wireless service. VMU customers procure mobile handsets from retailers but engineered to connect to SPRINT Network. Initially the handsets are inoperable. Calling customer care can do activation of those sets.
