I gained a lot of in depth experience dealing specifically with pensions.
Responsibilities
• As an administrator in the pensions compliance team I am responsible for the checking and issuing of Annual Benefit Statements, renewal letters and also Trustees Annual Reports. I am also responsible for the issuing statements of accounts for pension plans for a number of different schemes.
• I am also responsible for dealing with issues relating to revenue compliance such as making sure each scheme is revenue approved and has been issued with a pensions board number.

Responsibilities;
• While on phones my I work to target to answer a minimum of 65 customer queries per day relating to Life Assurance, Pensions, Fund Performance, Current Values, Mortgage Protection Policies or Savings
• Every 3 weeks I do administrative work (for 2 week periods) on policies and my target is to deal with at least 50 pieces of post
• Updating policy and member details onto the database
• I attended various training courses throughout my time with the company, such as an in touch programme to improve skills on dealing with customers on a more personal level and identifying their needs as customers.
• I have excellent time keeping and work very well as part of a team.
• I also have excellent computer skills and a pleasant telephone manner.
• I have also just recently passed the QFA 1 exam.

• I worked in the patient services department of the Louth County hospital, here I learned a lot about the hospital system such as filing the charts, preparing the charts for clinics which involved gathering the necessary test results from the lab and making sure all the patients charts were in order for the doctor
• I also dealt with the patients when they arrived and gathered further information as they were leaving and also over the phone if they had any queries about appointments or tests.

I am currently studying for a Accounting Technicians qualification with the intention to progress on the ACCA exams once this course is completed in two years time.
The subjects I am currently taking are Business Management, Financial Accounting, Law and Ethics and Taxation.
