A member of a team of specialists, providing professional consultant services to the Ministry of Interior and National Information Centre of Saudi Arabia in the area of ZOS/390, DB2, CICS, and NETWORK. My duties include: installing and maintaining the ZOS/390 operating system and its related components that ensures the highest levels of availability, reliability, and scalability. This includes managing and maintaining the ZOS/390 Parallel SYSPLEX configuration for all CPU's in the SYSPLEX. Monitor, trouble-shoot and administer mainframe operating system software, track and report software maintenance, consult with technical management on software changes to the systems. Assist in data center moves/upgrades/acquisitions, support disaster recovery testing, and coordinate problem management or scheduled changes with operators, client representatives and other system technicians. Coordinate testing and implementation of mainframe system software, including OS upgrades. Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, clients, and peers to continuously improve Software Programming services. Respond to customer issues 24/7, as assigned. In addition; the following encompasses my day-to-day areas of responsibilities:
1. Daily support of operational systems ensuring optimum availability of the Production environment in a SYSPLEX environment.
