A well trained PICWS (Person In-charge at Work Site) from National Training Centre, Abu Dhabi. Having basic knowledge about First-Aid, H2S escape, Confined Space Entry such as Rig preload tanks, sulphur tanks, pressure vessels etc. Major responsibilities as responsible QC/ welding inspector are as below:

• Ensure that subcontractor has a continuous safety tool box training programme.

• Ensure that all sub-contractors personnel wear their PPE (personal protective equipments) on site, including safety hats, glasses, gloves, shoes, safety harness and any other specialised personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Ensure that all lifting equipment, lifting tackle and material transport equipment is in good condition and has all mandatory certificates and permits.

• Ensure all subcontractor plant, equipment, tools and materials are fit for use, and comply with the HSE procedures with regard to certification, permits and colour codes.

• Complete permits-to-work in accordance with the responsibilities given in the site authorised engineers List.
