CAREER SYNOPSIS

I am a dedicated and committed Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer, having three and a half year’s experience in a broad range of design activities on different EPC projects. Having worked on technically diverse projects and different phases has enriched my experience and given me the opportunity to learn a lot during a very short time period. My skill set also includes effective project management skills, covering different phases of activity planning and execution.

Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Initially set-up as a joint venture between Japan Gas Corporation and Descon Engineering of Pakistan for carrying out engineering part of oil and gas related EPC projects but was recently established as an independent entity in the name of Descon Integrated Projects with the aim to independently execute EPC projects.

Pearl GTL Project Instrumentation and Control Systems Design Work, Qatar Shell GTL RasLaffan, Qatar

I was part of the JGC team handling the design / procurement related to Instrumentation and Control system for Pearl GTL project. JGC scope included the main Gas to Liquid conversion area. The project gave me international exposure and allowed me to greatly develop my technical expertise.

Fatima Fertilizer Ammonia Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems work, Fatima Fertilizer Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan

Fatima Fertilizer complex is the biggest plant of its kind in Pakistan. JGC-Descon team was assigned to design the instrumentation part of the plant. This being a revamp project presented unique challenges which greatly enhanced my technical skills and how to tackle difficult design challenges, working around different physical/budgetary constraints.

Jubail Export Refinery EPC Bidding Work Saudi Aramco, Jubail , Saudi Arabia

JGC placed its bid for EPC work of Jubail Export Refinery, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TOTAL. I was involved in the instrumentation pre-bid estimation work. The project gave me exposure to Saudi Aramco standards and gave me a good feel of instrumentation related pre-bidding activities.

Pearl GTL Project Field Engineering Work RasLaffan, Qatar

Due to my involvement in design phase of the project, I was mobilized to Pearl GTL site to carry out field engineer. This gave helped me in improving my technical skills especially for the design phase using knowledge of practical problems faced at site.

• Field Instrumentation, Control valves and Control Systems / PLCs design, sizing, selection and datasheet / specification preparation.

• Typical installation drawings preparation, hookups preparation/assignment and calculation of BQ/MTO.
