Job Objective

Instrument & Control Engineer; Electrical Engineer; Commissioning-Startup I&E Engineer; Supervising Instrument-Electrical Engineer; E&I Training and Consulting Engineer

Summary of Professional Experience

More than thirty years of engineering design, start up & commissioning, plant operations & maintenance support in various projects involving instrumentation & control, and electrical power. Experienced in new construction & plant retrofit-modernization including various power plants (combined-cycle, multi-fuel, geothermal, solar, nuclear, lignite-coal fired, including electrostatic precipitators & wet-dry flue-gas scrubbers), various manufacturing facilities (pharmaceutical, laundry detergent, salted snack-potato chip, paper towel-tissue product, fluorescent light bulbs), oil and gas projects (gas processing plant, refineries, MTBE-propylene oxide, LNG terminals), waste management & medical incineration facility, water desalination & treatment, copper mining, offsite and ship loading facilities, bank, and residential projects. Also, involved with volunteer work in collection of food from neighborhood grocery stores and distribution to different Christian Ministries in Tacoma, Washington to feed the hungry and less fortunate people.

Equipment and machinery I have worked with:

• Westinghouse gas turbine, Siemens steam turbine, General Electric gas & steam turbines, Toshiba steam turbine; Emergency diesel generators

• Heat Recovery Steam Generator (waste-heat boiler) ¬- Nooter-Erickson (N/E), ABB

• Distributed Control System (DCS)- Siemens Teleperm TXP, General Electric ICS, Bailey Symphony, Westinghouse WDPF, Fisher-Rosemount RS3, Honeywell TDC3000 DCS

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) - Allen-Bradley PLC-5, Modicon 984, General Elec Fanuck, Triconics

Accomplishments

Completed all assignments successfully with minimal cost overruns in spite of inaccuracy of process parameters impacting design and procurement. Turned over operating plants to clients within negotiated budgets and schedules in spite of various mistakes and delays from engineering and construction. Combined with electrical knowhow, work in instrument and control resulted in better overall work and productivity including personnel training. My electrical background and expertise benefitted the project as a whole by assisting the Electrical Start-up crew at times to facilitate completion of scheduled work. Combined I&E experience meant better understanding of work on electrical equipment control as incorporated in the DCS & SIS configuration and programming resulted in enhanced work quality and more productivity.
