Consultant Project Manager

Responsible for all aspects project management for a new professional multi practitioner medical clinic with 14 No apartments in first floor - project worth approximately $5.6 million.

• Created a successful Business Plan to secure funds at various stages of the project.

Contracts Manager

Solely responsible for managing the Partnering Contractor providing facilities management services to 68 hospitals and other health authority buildings with a combined annual operating budget of over $18 million.

• Pro-actively monitored contractors’ performance, and saved over 20 percent of the yearly budget in the way of penalties for non-performance, whilst reducing customer complaints by over 90% within six months.

• Re-engineered processes in the hydrotherapy pool department to completely eliminate abortive patient visits and wasted resources. This eliminated the negative press publicity to hospital in total. Wrote new escalation procedure and was agreed with all personnel involved before implementing.

• Drafted a contract with additional contract clauses to enable site supervisory staff to authorize payment only on receiving satisfactory services, instead of contractor receiving automatic payment on completion which eliminated a long standing customer satisfaction issue.

Projects managed housing refurbishment and new build projects valued up to $1.3 million from inception to completion for a government entity serving the Haringey community. Core duties entailed conducting quality assurance on building projects, managing budgets, defining scope, planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling design/build endeavors by utilizing PM Methodology and MS Project software. Carried out post-contract evaluation (‘lessons learnt’) exercises for all the completed projects to establish what went right and what went wrong and used that data on departments’ future projects.

Achieved 95% and 98% customer satisfaction in two large refurbishment projects within one year.
