Senior Civil Engineer - 08/2003 to Present:
Managing commercial as well as public projects with a range of one hundred thousand to ten million dollars from inception to completion. I am performing design and blueprint review and analysis of projects, preparation of construction documents, bidding, negotiations, sub contractors selection, material purchasing scheduling, project budget, building code compliance, project development, quality control, and certification of occupancy. Supervise crews of 30 trades workers. Using my strong background of administrative and engineering skills, I manage the projects with cost efficiency, smoothly resolve the complex field problems and complete the projects in a timely manner. The public projects include schools in Long Island, MTA, Parks & Recreation Department, DDC, OGS, and State Funds and so on.

Senior Civil Engineer/Project Officer Level II - 04/2000 to 08/2003:
Working with NYCSCA, was a senior level position in Project Management Division. With my position, I handled my projects independently. Also I supervised the staff of 25 workers in the office and field. I managed school projects of remodeling and renovation from inception to finish. Most of the projects were in the range of 2-10 millions. The scopes of these projects were “building extensions/additions”, “exterior modernization” (including masonry, roofing and interior works), and “handicap accessibility”. Besides supervision, I framed estimates, processed the change orders, and kept the projects on track with the approved schedules to meet the dead lines. All these projects were being controlled by using the software “Expedition 7.0” in the agency’s network system. I also approved and authorized the payment requisitions for the general contractors for their completed work.
CEMA CONSTRUCTION CORP., NEW YORK:
Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager - 03/1995 to 04/2000:
As a project manager, I worked at projects for NYCSCA. I independently managed and completed the exterior modernization and roofing works at PS 138 Q and Francis Lewis High School, total of six million worth. I also completed renovation and addition projects NYC colleges and Stony Brook Campuses at Old Westbury and Stony Brook. These projects involved replacement of exterior panels, glass curtain walls, complete replacement of corridor paved flooring, bath room renovations. The cost of the projects ranged from $2.00M to $8.0M. I prepared and updated schedules on P3, submittals, site safety plans, sidewalk bridge permits, building permits, sub contractor approvals, and all other related paper work for these projects. I attended independently various on site and off site meetings with SCA officials, and architects. I also prepared payment requisitions and administered the skilled and unskilled workers on site.
TRATAROS CONSTRUCTION INC., NEW YORK:

I prepared JOC proposals for DDC, MTA, SCA, BOE, Fire and General Services Departments. I computed cost factors used for management purposes i.e. planning, scheduling, and organizing the projects.
