responsibilities included the gross description of dermatology, gastroenterology and select surgical specimens
and frozen sections for two hospitals.
All Children’s Hospital St. Petersburg, Florida 06/2005-03/2008
I performed frozen sections, microtomy re-cut’s, special stain’s and immunohistochemistry on a morning shift
8:30am-5:00pm. I was also involved in ciliary, lymphocyte, platelet, muscle and nerve electron microscopy
preparation. I left this position for Medical Technology school and after two semesters, I decided to go back to
Histology.
St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Petersburg, Florida 05/2003-06/2005
I performed frozen sections, microtomy, embedding, special stains and immunohistochemistry. I was also in-
volved in setting up a digital imaging system for evaluation of HER2, EGFR, ER and PR breast tumor antibodies.
I left this position to work at All Children’s Hospital and learn Electron Microscopy.
