Billy Goat Industries: Production Supervisor December 13, 2010- present

Was hired to start up the new sewing department. After a year it was decided that it was cheaper outsource and we gave the job to another company. I was then a Supervisor in the assembly department for a few months until I found a permanent home in the paint department. This company makes professional lawn equipment, Aerators, brush cutters, overseeders, lawn vacuums, blowers, sod cutters and mowers. It is a family owned business located in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Flexible Staffing: Henkel Corporation- Injection Mold Machine Operator

Responsible for operating machines that produced quality seals for the automotive industry. Involved with quality and packaging of the material.

Reason for leaving: This was a temporary job that lasted approximately a year

Premium Iowa Pork: QA Manager-

Responsible for managing and assuring full execution of all food safety and quality assurance programs. Provided leaderships, coaching, supervisory, and technical direction to all departments. Maintained and improved quality assurance procedures and departments effectiveness. Maintained accurate and current product formulations and manufacturing protocols on all products. Conducted relevant training and education for all food safety and quality, including but not limited to HACCP, USDA, listeria and microbiological control, Maintenance Food Safety, SSOP’s, and GMP’s. Triumph Foods: Production Supervisor, Pack off

In charge of 63 employees, responsibilities were to package product according to company and customer specs, follow GMP’s, SSOP’s, work with USDA to ensure a quality and safe product. Supervised and coordinated activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment. Used the production schedule to ascertain type and quantity of product, packaging materials to be used and other packaging requirements. Inspected products prior to packaging and returned rejected products to production departments. Observed packaging operations and inspected materials to verify conformance to specifications. Notified maintenance for repairs and adjustments to packaging machinery. Trained team members in operation of equipment and packaging materials. Worked alongside quality control to ensure our product met the customer and company standards. Involved with maintenance on training employees on the cryovac machines. Approximately 8500 hogs were processed per eight hour shiftwhich made the packaging job very demanding.

While working with Triumph Foods we had an issue with the backribs and the company was losing money on that line. I got with the Supervisor of that department and Quality assurance on specs for the product and discovered that many of our number one ribs were going into the number two packages because employees had not been trained properly on specs. Retrained all my team members on the product and showed them what could be trimmed to make the rib a number one and within a couple months the company was in the black on the rib line.

Reason for Leaving: Was offered a job with Ford Motor Company and I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me and my family.

Walkers Food Products: Quality Control Supervisor

Was hired to help update the Company’s Quality Control Program. Developed up to date process sheets for their Quality Control Program, rewrote processes and updated process sheets used to record information for government records, enforced GMP’s and SSOP’s, helped record data for HACCP and aided in two major inspections conducted by Steritech and FDA and scored very high. The FDA inspector informed my Supervisor that my tour of the plant was the best she had been on and that I was very knowledgeable.

Reason for leaving: let go because the company was downsizing. The plant manager offered to give me a letter of recommendation if I ever needed one.

Redi Cut Foods(Fresh Express): Quality Assurance lab Supervisor

Managed the department while my manager was on leave, worked many hours of overtime rebuilding the Sanitaion Program and issues FDA had with the Company Sanitaion process. Worked with Eco-Lab on company pest control program, retrained Quality Technicians on inspecting and collecting data and micribiological samples for company and government records. Responsible for sanitation and Pre-op inspections, ran micro and tested all incoming raw materials for bacteria. Took cuttings of all products and recorded data for government records to ensure a safe and edible product. Products: fresh cut vegetables which we supplied to companies shch as; Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Public school program, restaurants and grocery stores.

Reason for leaving: Company was bought out by Fresh Express and I was let go due to shifting of employees in other plants across the United States, I was given a severance package.

Rosewood Farms: Quality Control Supervisor

Ready To Eat processing plant and was brought into help with the start up of their Quality Control Program. Helped to develop their HACCP program and the process sheets for all products. Helped prepare company for customer inspections and third party inspections, received high scores on all inspections. Products: 35% Hams, AI Hams, Bone in Hams, sandwich meats for Subway and also had the government school program, BBQ ribs, Turkey legs and wings.

Sara Lee Foods: Quality Control Technician

Incoming raw materials Inspector, ran the raw lab, infratec, ROA, samplet salts, fats and proteins in each batch of material. Started the lethality project and smoke studies. Special projects: flow charts for each product and the government books for each and every product that was made on site. Worked with USDA to enforce HACCP, GMP’s and SSOP’s. Improved process sheets for the raw side and also the Ready To Eat side. Later trained on the Ready to Eat side processing floor and collecting micro samples and the Ready to Eat lab. Products: Ball Park Franks, Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausages, and Polska Kielbasa and all Deli Select meats.

Reason for Leaving: Was offered an incredible opportunity to be involved in the start up of a new company and to learn how to write a HACCP program

United States Air Force: Air National Guard

Completed Basic Training and Graduated honor Grad and my flight squadron was also awarded Honor Flight. Went to Saudi in 1990 as an Intelligence Information management Specialist. Spent six months in Honduras building school buildings and roads and passing out meds and food in the villages. Spent anither 6 months in San Diego, CA working with Customs on the Mexican border. Volunteered to work for the State of Missouri during the flood of ’93 patrolling roads and handing out food and, helped to rebuild the community of Mound City and the Big Lake area. I have been to many different countries such as; Germany, Azores, England, italy and to most of the States within the Continental United States and Hawaii. Loved the military life but went through a divorce and had to resign.
